Kayla.J is a contemporary visual artist based in London, UK. She earned her Master of Photography from the University of the Arts London in 2024.
Kayla’s practice rethinks the permanence of photography by breaking away from traditional fixing processes, exploring the perception of time through innovative approaches. Her notable work, Temporal Currents, captures the fluid and ever-changing essence of time by allowing unfixed photographs to transform under light. This process not only illustrates the dynamic nature of time but also articulates the delicate balance between permanence and impermanence, central to her artistic inquiry.
